55+ Magazine: Reimagined for Life In Season
By Jacque Genovese, Executive Editor
This summer edition marks our five-year anniversary of publishing the 55+ magazine. From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: to bring you thoughtfully curated stories about the people, places, and experiences that make Lincoln such a vibrant community. Along the way, our talented writers and designers have shaped each edition with care and creativity. We couldn’t be prouder of what this magazine has become, or more grateful for the joy and connection it has brought to so many of you.
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead with excitement. Over the past year, our team has been reimagining what the next five years can be, and that vision is taking shape as we transition from 55+ to In Season Lincoln in 2027.
This next chapter is designed for adults who are still professionally active, intellectually curious, and socially engaged. It’s for those who are living full, dynamic lives and want a publication that reflects that lifestyle. It’s about leaning into what’s next.
At its heart, In Season Lincoln stands for a simple but powerful idea: this stage of life isn’t about slowing down, it’s about being fully present. Fully engaged. Fully in season, with purpose, curiosity, and intention. This magazine is designed to meet you right where you are.
You’ll find a new look to the magazine and a mix of engaging, relevant content—from cultural and workplace trends to travel, food, and wellness insights. We’ll share recommendations for books, podcasts, and exhibits worth your time, along with stories that highlight lifelong learning, evolving technology, and skills that keep you curious and connected. You’ll also discover features on lifestyle and leisure—locally and beyond. And, as always, we’ll spotlight inspiring individuals right here in Lincoln who are living fully and making an impact.
The rollout of In Season Lincoln will begin with our Spring 2027 edition. We’re honored to continue this journey with you—our advertisers and readers—and we can’t wait for what’s ahead.
