The Second Chance Man

When Brad Johnson retires this December after nearly 35 years at the Lancaster County Department of Corrections, he leaves with a belief shaped by years of difficult and impactful work: people can change and Corrections can help give them that chance.

Giving With Intention

As the year begins to wind down, it is a natural time to reflect on the year behind us, and on what we want our resources to accomplish in the year ahead. If charitable giving is part of your year-end tradition, December can be a good time to look beyond simply writing a check and ask: "Is there a more intentional way to give?"

What Readers Are Saying

Just picked up a copy of Summer 55+ at daVinci's. Well done. Nice magazine. Nice article . . . keep up the good work!

Bob
In my 83 years of life, I’ve read a lot of magazines. I’m not so good at reading on my desktop computer, so I love picking up Lincoln 55+ when I get my groceries, and then reading the entertaining stories over my afternoon coffee. I always look forward to Cliff Lowell’s work and to the crossword. Thank you for this publication! It makes me so proud to be a lifelong Lincolnite.

Dennis
I really love this magazine and enjoy reading it the old-fashioned way, holding it in my hands, not online . . . I appreciate your good work; it's a nice magazine to collect. When I can, I send some to my sister in Florida.

Judith
The articles are short, to the point yet informative. They touch on topics I'm interested in as a senior citizen. The layout design is appealing and advertising includes organizations and companies I'm interested in.
