Spring Has Sprung (and so have our taste buds!)
Spring is basically nature hitting the refresh button, with warmer temps, longer days, and sunshine that actually sticks around. Trees and flowers burst into bloom, birds get chatty, and suddenly everyone wants to be outside again.
And let’s be honest—food always plays a starring role around here. With spring officially in the air, we asked our 55+ team one simple question: What foods make you think of spring? Their answers did not disappoint.
Here’s what they had to say:
"Garden salsa and lettuce wraps." —Sheena
"Salad—especially pasta salad!" —Jodi
"Fresh asparagus from the garden (the first thing to pop up!), cooked with lemon juice, garlic, and salt." —Nathan
"Orzo pasta salad." —Emma
"Fresh lemons with everything." —Jacque
"Deviled eggs, red velvet cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, and fresh salads." —Kelsey
"Strawberry cheesecake or pasta salad!" —Emily
"Greek salad or lemon pasta." —Andrea
Noticing a theme?
Fresh, colorful, lighter foods are clearly stealing the spotlight—lots of citrus, veggies, herbs, and just enough sweetness to celebrate the season.
Whatever flavors say “spring” to you, now’s the perfect time to enjoy them—preferably outdoors, with sunshine on your face and something delicious on your plate.
