Funds raised will go to Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, a member of CMN Hospitals. Event will be held outside in our courtyard. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside.
National Root Beer Float Day is August 6, 2023. This day holds a special place for Marriott. Founders J. Willard and Alice S. Marriott launched their 9-seat A&W Root Beer stand in Washington, D.C. to cool off from the summer heat. From there, the Marriott family expanded their business into what we know today as a leader in the hospitality industry.
To honor their history and legacy, Marriott properties will host Root Beer Float socials during the month of August to benefit local member hospitals of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Marriott has been a supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals from the very beginning as their first corporate partner in 1983 and continuing that support for nearly 40 years through various fundraising activities.
